To modify your existing Outlook 2003 account, please follow the instructions below.
- Right
click the Outlook 2003 icon on the desktop and click the Properties command. The following screen will be launched:
- In
the Mail Setup – Outlook dialog box (figure 2), click on the
E-mail Account button in the E-mail Accounts frame.
- Select
the View or change existing e-mail accounts option in the E-mail
Accounts page. A screen similar to the one below will appear:
- Highlight
the account you wish to modify by clicking on it and click on the
Change button. A screen similar to the one below will be launched:
- Fill in the text boxes on the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) page.
Enter your applicable mail.domain in the Incoming mail server (POP3) and your applicable smtp.domain in the Outgoing
mail server (SMTP) text boxes. Check the Remember Password checkbox and then click the More
Settings button. A screen similar to the one below will be launched:
- In
the Internet E-Mail Settings dialog box, click on the Outgoing
Server tab. Put a checkmark in the My outgoing server
SMTP requires authentication checkbox and select Use
same settings as my incoming mail server option.
Click the OK button. You will be returned to the Internet
E-mail Settings (POP3) dialogue box.
- Click
the Test Account Settings button to test if the current settings
work correctly.
- You
will see the status of the SMTP and POP3 connections in the Test
Account Settings dialog box. Click close after all tests complete
successfully.
- Click Next on the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3).

Click Finish on the Congratulations page.
- Click Close on the Mail Setup – Outlook dialog box to complete
your account set-up.
