Configuring Eudora for POP3 (Windows)

To modify your existing Eudora account, please follow the instructions below.

  1. Select Tools => Options
  2. Select Getting Started in the left-hand portion of the window. A window similar to the following will appear:


  3. Replace the information in the Mail Server (Incoming) field, with your applicable mail.domain.com (make sure to replace the mail.domain fields with your actual username and domain name). Type your email address into the Return Address field. Your email address is your applicable user@domain. In the Login Name: field, type your applicable user@domain. In the SMTP Server field, type smtp.domain. Check Allow authentication.
  4. Select Checking Mail from the left-hand portion of the window. A window similar to the following will appear:


  5. Check Send on check, select Save Password.
  6. Select Incoming Mail from the left-hand portion of the window. A window similar to the following will appear:


  7. Select POP, select Move it to, select Passwords.
  8. Select Kerberos from the left-hand portion of the window. A window similar to the following will appear:


  9. Check Off for Kerberos Authentication:, check On for Kerberos 4 (POP only).
  10. Select Threading from the left-hand portion of the window. A window similar to the following will appear:


  11. Check Ignore idle time wait on manual check/sends, Type 1 into the Maximum number of concurrent tasks: field.
  12. Click OK to save your changes and complete your account setup.
