1. Are you the owner of the servers and all hardware?
   Yes, we are the owner/operator of the server hardware and Internet connections.
2. Can I resell myhosting.com applications?

   If you are interested in becoming a Reseller of myhosting.com please log into your control panel at https://support.myhosting.com and then click on My Account and then Reseller Program. There you can find more information or sign up for our reseller program.

3. Is a domain name required to use Email Hosting?

   Yes. A domain name is required to use the Email Hosting plan. If you do not already have a domain name, you may register for one at http://myhosting.com.

4. Do you offer web page design services?
   No, at this time we do not offer any web design services.
5. Does myhosting.com allow adult sites?
   No, myhosting.com does not permit the hosting of any sexually explicit materials, whether graphical, textual, video, audio, encrypted, protected, proprietary, or in any other formats.  While we are committed to the protection of free speech of our clients, we cannot permit sexually explicit material on our web servers for many reasons.  We object to the hosting of adult content principally for the resource problems that it places on our systems, i.e. unpredictable bandwidth consumption and potential degradation on service levels for other customers.  Generally, adult sites can create an unexpected degree of resource demands upon a web server, potentially jeopardizing the security of all other customers hosted on that particular segment.  For more information please review myhosting.com Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
6. Does myhosting.com allow bulk email?
   No, myhosting.com does not allow the Email POP3 accounts or the myhosting.com Email Servers to be used for the purpose of sending unsolicited or "bulk email". The reasons for this are quite numerous, but the main problem involves the security of our Web and email servers against retaliatory flames, so called email "bombs", and various attacks, that such use would inevitably generate. While we make every effort to secure our servers from these kinds of attacks, if we were to permit our clients to engage in "bulk email" practices, we would jeopardize the security and integrity of the email and Web services for all our clients. 7. How do I check my email?

   myhosting.com offers standard POP3 email boxes which you can access through any standard POP3 email program such as Outlook Express, Eudora, Thunderbird, Windows Mail or Mac Mail.  You can also use any web based email website that can connect to POP3 mailboxes such as http://mail2web.com to access the emails stored in your mailbox on the mail server.

8. How long have you been in this business?
   SoftCom Technology Consulting Inc. was founded in early 1997 with the introduction of web hosting and technology consulting services. Since then, services have been expanded to include; application hosting, email retrieval services and dial-up Internet access. SoftCom continues to focus on the core business that has made it a success from the very beginning by continually exploring ways of improving existing services and by introducing new complementary services.

12. What is Email Hosting?
    Email Hosting allows you to get your own personalized email address using your own domain name. You do not need to host a website to use email hosting. For example: yourname@yourdomain.com.
13. What type of Internet connections do you have?
    Our state-of-the-art network is fully switched using Cisco network gear and is engineered with full redundancy to ensure there is no single point of failure. myhosting.com has fully redundant high-speed fiber optic connections (multiple OC3's) to the Internet backbone with carriers MCI Canada/Verizon Business and VSNL International. Network connectivity to our web servers will never be an issue.
