How it works

 

When you sign up for myhosting dial-up service, you receive one dial-up Internet access account. You can dial-up and connect to the Internet from any one of the POP on the global network located in major business centers around the world using your assigned username and password. Once logged in, you will be able to browse the Internet, send and retrieve your email messages, as well as send and receive files and at the same time, significantly reduce the cost of your long-distance charges while traveling abroad.

 

MCIMCI is continually expanding its global coverage and improving the performance of its network, though the maximum modem speed supported will vary from country to country. Each International POP currently supports modem speeds of at least 28.8 Kbps. myhosting.com cannot guarantee the availability of any POP, though we will strive to keep the POP list accurate and complete. Access numbers are also liable to change. Please refer to the International POP list for current details before you travel.

 

Connecting to the Internet via dial-up service

 

Users who want to connect to the Internet can dial one of the Points of Presence numbers on the global network located in the major business centers around the world. For your convenience, we also provide you with a Connection Manager, which is a versatile client dialer and Internet connection software.

 

What the $22.45/month covers

 

For $22.45 per month, you get unlimited Internet access service throughout the U.S. (48 States) and Canada without having to pay any additional roaming fees. Dial-up services outside of North America will be subject to additional roaming fees depending on the zone the service is used in. myhosting.com is not responsible for phone charges associated with your use of our services. Please note that in some countries, phone calls are metered for certain locations. For additional assistance on determining these charges, please contact your local telephone company for applicable tariffs.

 

Roaming charges when traveling

 

Roaming charges will vary from zone to zone and will be billed in 1 minute increments. For additional assistance on determining these charges, please view the chart below to see what zone will be applicable. Additionally, it is a good idea to check the list of numbers that you can call in the area you will be traveling to, and then contact the local telephone company for applicable tariffs.

 

 

Activate and manage your dial-up Internet access account through your Control Panel. You can also monitor your Internet usage online.

 

If you do not require the account, you can cancel it without contacting a customer support representative.
