What is a Blog?
Blogs, also web-logs, are information, events and opinions of the people on internet. Bloggers create a good contact with their readers through comments.
There are four main types of blogs:
Personal Blogs
This is the widest and most popular type of blogs. People share their ideas, opinions or daily life with those types of blogs. After a point, personal blogs catch a novel-like taste for me.
Group Blogs
Group blogs are managed by a bunch of people. They defend or convey an idea in the same platform.
Corporate Blogs
Usually companies have those types of blogs. They announced news of company or area developments. Corporate blogs allow to company to have tight bonds with its customers.
Thematic Blogs
This type of blogs is specific for one theme. Techno blogs, political blogs or sport blogs are examples of thematic blogs.
If you want to have your own blog, you may get a basic hosting package from myhosting.com and install free Wordpress application.
Getting started with a blog
Firstly you need to decide, what type of blog you want to have. Your blog should be unique. Simply, don’t copy and paste stuff from other web sites. It’s not pleasant, plus if you don’t show any references, it’s plagiarism and illegal. Be open minded, decided and consistent with your blog.
Your theme and content should be compatible. If you are talking about how beautiful life is, don’t choose a depressive and dark theme. Comments are very helpful to improve yourself and correct some minor mistakes of you. However, don’t allow spam comments. They are bad for your blogs reputation.
Every blog has its own followers. Especially if you have a thematic blog, it’s both good for visitors’ profile and appearing on search engines. After some point your blog could be popular and you may have your own fans. If you have 1000 visitors per day, you may also gain some money. (You can read my previous article for gaining money with your blog).

I love how you broke everything down in this post. Is it simple to install Wordpress on a MyHosting package?
I don’t currently use WP but I have thought about it, and if I do ever make that leap I want it to be as simple as possible.
I have thought about blogging but worry that I wouldn’t be able to think of enough to say to keep a blog regularly updated. Static websites seem less demanding in some ways. There are some great blogs around and it amazes me how people come up with great content continuously.Your post on getting started is very good – nice and straightforward.
Don’t be afraid to jump in Pauline. If you are worried about not having enough to say, most blogging sites or programs will let you turn off the dates on posts which keeps people from seeing how often you actually update.
I think the only way to really find out if you can do it, is to give it a try and I bet you can!
I think almost all blogs are thematic in one way or another.
Some are a bit more varied, but most bloggers stick to one topic per site which is ideal if you ask me.
Too many subjects in one place can get messy.
Blogging is a lot of fun if you pick a topic that you like.
I’ve also heard a lot of good things about WordPress and how easy it is to set up with most hosts like MyHosting so it might be something to consider.
It’s interesting to me that you mentioned matching your theme to your content too because I think a lot of people, myself included, are prone to forget to coordinate those two things and it can give the blog a strange feeling.
+1) i like WordPress
