by Melissa Smich on May 19, 2010

The ability to have your kind of music played all the time is something that everyone desires. Most of us avoid listening to music on the radio at all times because more often than not, they play songs that are not among your list of favorites. Added to that, some radio shows air more advertisements than songs which can be another reason for despair. Is there a way in which you and your friends can, at the same time, listen to songs that you would love to hum along with? Well, thanks to the internet, it is now possible!

The internet has enabled us to set up a radio station of our choice which can cater to the kind of music that we would like to listen to. And the best part is that you don’t have to be a technical expert to make this dream a possibility. The platform which enables the streaming of media from your computer to the internet is called shoutcasts. Any type of media, over which you have a right, can be steamed on to the internet for the other to listen as well.

Shoutcasts for blogs enable you to listen to your favorite music and even store a link to reach them soon. There are a number of advantages to this. First of all, you can listen to the music of your choice, uninterrupted. You can also share this with your friends without burning a hole in your pocket.

Shoutcasts for blogs are highly popular among students and adults alike. It is no more necessary to have an earphone to connect you to the radio stations. All you need is a mobile internet access and you can listen to your favorite songs time and again, any time of the day from any part of the world.

However, setting up shoutcasts for blogs entails the use of the most modern technologies in terms of both hardware and software. If you have these requirements in place, then, you can get going with this concept and show the world you have arrived!

It is also imperative to ensure that you have the rights to the media that you are airing in order to avoid any legal tussles. So, if you want to showcase your favorite music to the world and get all others also to enjoy it, then, ensure you go in for shoutcasts.

That is very cool, but since not all people share the same opinions in music, make sure the “off” button is clearly labeled!
