I think it is still auxiliary , Mobile is an add-on to use, so far mostly PCs browsers are used…

The mobile site is a must , but also a button at the very top of the page to let users choose their version of the site is a must.
I personally hate mobile sites as nobody really managed to build a navigable one. They all zoom in on the content and move the sidebar with no ability to zoom out.
