evergreen affiliate programs

How can you get a good sense whether or not an affiliate program or product is what they call "evergreen?" Are evergreen programs, programs that have excellent long-term prospects, really rare?

If a product is scheduled to launch or has already made it's debut into the marketplace but can still be promoted post launch then it is considered evergreen.
I think web hosting affiliate is considered as evergreen affiliate program.
