Hello,
I'm getting ready to upgrade our version of WordPresss. I plan on using the auto-updater in the WP dashboard. I want to avoid an upgrade install "hang" or "stall", or any other pitfalls that could bring our site down. Are there tips you might offer to prepare myself for a successful upgrade?

I have already backed everything up, and have takes screenshots.

I tried to delete the 2010 theme (not being used), and I was asked to provide my FTP login information. That seemed odd. If it's a file/directory permission issue, I want to be sure it's taken care of so it doesn't effect the WP ugrade process.

So again, any tips -- file permissions or otherwise -- are very much appreciated.

Thanks. Is there anything inherent in MyHosting.com's WordPress file/folder permission setup that could pose any WP upgrading challenges? I'm more accustomed to cPanel-based installs, so apologies for my pesky questions. ;)

I am not having any problems updating my WordPress, but if the automatic upgrade doesn't work for you, don't panic, just try a manual update.

It's great to have both the manual and automatic upgrade options.
