I have a new client in need of a shopping cart and I see My Hostings offers several. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to which would be best.

He will have less than 25 products. He would like to have shipping costs be dependant on zip code being sent to and weight of the shipment. He would like the option of adding discounts and would at some point, like them to be able to log into a customer area that would save their settings, but use something like PayPal to handle the credit card transactions.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Sandy Lockleer

Out of the myhosting.com shopping cart options CubeCart offers the most versatility and considering myhosting.com does have an install wizard for this (and many other) application it should be very easy to get started.

You can find more information on CubeCart by browsing to http://myhosting.com/Web-Hosting/cubecart.aspx and http://www.cubecart.com.

I would suggest that you look at ZenCart, which is also offered by softcom/myhosting. Zencart has a very good support site (http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/faq.php). I am trying to get one of my clients to use it instead of the current StoreFront.

I don't think it will adjust for zip code, but if they're looking for something very easy to manage and update, the site builder ecommerce is super easy and pretty customizable considering.
