I've seen a lot of question regarding the best services and hosts. One of the best ways to identify a quality service is to do a simple check before you sign on. Do they promptly answer phones and e-mails?

I don't know about answering the phone, but email support is usually responsive. Another good thing is that support is always open. I have a friend using another hosting company whose web site went down on Friday night, and had to wait until Monday morning before support came into the office.

The only bad thing is that they are not always able to help (http://myhosting.com/forums/myhosting-forums/troubleshooting/234-trying-install-pear-package.html).

I'm glad to hear they're responsive with email. A company that takes a long time to answer a simple email is a major pet peeve of mine.

I know with our 24/7 support, our fastest response time is via toll-free phone call. We usually answer under 2 min

under 2 mins is impressive--usually you can't even get a burger at a fast food place in under 2 mins.

I agree completely with the above comments. And verifying tech support is especially important if your computer skills are lacking and you're going to need a lot of help developing your websites.
