Virtuozzo vs. Hyper-V Patches

Greetings,

I just read a blog post (http://myhosting.com/blog/2011/10/virtuozzo-hyperv-comparing-container-hypervisor-virtualization/) comparing Virtuozzo to Hyper-V.

My question is: in which option is the host (myhosting.com) responsible for security patches, and in which option am I responsible for updates?

Hi Shane,

In both cases, we provide patching and monitoring. With Virtuozzo however, it's important you allow us provide updates and patching since Virtuozzo does not technically provide you a full kernel access VPS. They're incredible flexible and optimized for root access, but some of the underlying operating system is still shared.
