typing with multiple letters, like thissss....

Many people, especially young people, type so many words like thissss, with multiple letters on the end. I wonder how this fad started and when it will end. (I must sound like an old grouch here! :) )

I don't think you sound grouchy; words do look strange with all those letters. Fortunately, kids seem to grow out of that phase when they hit 18 or 20.
