Can anybody tell me the main difference between core navigation and classification path navigation (also known as "breadcrumbs")? Which would be better for a small site with only a few pages?

Classification path navigation is generally found near the top of the Web page, often underneath the masthead. This navigation shows the various parts of the particular classification tree in which a particular document or section of the website is located.

Core navigation is necessary where there is a large quantity of content on the website. As a general rule the core navigation should be presented in alphabetical order. However, in certain circumstances, particular classifications may deserve more prominence, and can be brought to the top of the core navigation.
