Here is the error:

Can't unpack zip-file: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

Please try again.

This occurs when I try to upload wp-db-backup.2.2.2.zip which I want to install in order to do automatic backups of my wordpress database.

I cannot manually install it because I do not seem to have access to the wordpress installation directory.

The plugin works fine on my other myhosting.com hosted wordpress sites, just having issues with the one I just created today because I have no FTP access to the wordpress files, which is VERY limiting... does anyone know, was this intentional?

Are you able to extract the zip file on your local machine? If not the zip may be corrupt and you would just need download a new copy.

That said, the plugins installations should just work without manually uploading them.

Many people appear to get this and similar errors, here's a few of the forum entries i've found but this is far from all of them.

I believe there is a way to FTP access to your wordpress installation directory, please contact support for more information.
