Does anybody out there have any preferences in Joomla versions?

I have been using Joomla 1.0 for some time now and recently have been seeing some 1.5 only plugins.

I am not sure if I should try to upgrade versions or make do with the version I have.

Any thoughts, ideas, tales of woe?

Now that Joomla 1.5 stable has been released, lots of people are wondering (or should wonder), what should I use, Joomla 1.0, or Joomla 1.5?

Personally, I think it is too early to go live with 1.5. Before most extensions have been changed to support 1.5 in native mode, (not in Legacy mode) I don't think I'll be upgrading. I'm sure I'd be able to if I wanted, I just don't feel like going through the hassle.

Basically, I'll be waiting a bit more. And when clients ask me whether to go for 1.0.x or 1.5, I'm still in a dilemma at what to suggest. If I were to be selfish, I could just recommend 1.0.x and then charge again for a migration a few months down the line, however I pride myself in helping people, rather than just taking their money. At the moment, if people want a Vanilla or mostly Vanilla CMS, I recommend 1.5. If they are very dependent on 3rd part components for most of the functionality, I'm still recommending 1.0.x.

I hope this helps...

Thanks for the response, I think I'll stick with 1.0 for a while
There seems to be a lot of items that have been removed or buried in 1.5.
The admin control panel for 1.0 was easy to navigate and straight forward.
