View Full Version : Parallels Plesk Panel 11
Parallels Plesk Panel 11 was launched last month (http://www.parallels.com/news/id,30961) - does anyone know when this will be offered by myhosting.com instead of Parallels Plesk Panel 10?

Depending on the OS platform, it will range anywhere from mid-September to mid-October is the current timeframe. But this is subject to change :)

Ok thanks. Will older Plesk Panels be upgraded to 11 will or 11 be only for a new VPS?

There's no official timeframe for that, but we are working on it. Of all upgrades, this is most likely and desired.

I tried Parallel before and I gave up on them. Their site doesn't really have a complete tutorial on setting this up. https://imagicon.info/cat/15-33/smile.png

Hi, it is almost the mid of October. Could you please confirm when will the VPS users get the update to Plesk Panel 11?

I'm afraid the timeline has shifted as the demand has not yet been high. That said, which particular features were you looking forward to taking advantage of?

@jeremya I know that other VPS hosts are offering Plesk 11 and I would want my host to keep up to date. So if the good people at Parallels have gone to the trouble of producing a new release that is good enough for me, whether or not there is some feature (http://download1.parallels.com/Plesk/PP11/11.0/release-notes/parallels-plesk-panel-11.0-for-linux-based-os.html#2) in particular that I wanted. So I would not think 'why would I want the up to date release?' but 'why would I not want it?'. In the same way I would not choose a host that only offers Debian 5 when other hosts are offering Debian 6 regardless of how much I understand the difference between 5 and 6 - unless there were reasons to think that 6 were somehow worse than 5. Of course the Plesk version is only one of many factors in choosing a host but other things being equal I would want it to be up to date.

We are hoping to migrate from MediaTemple to MyHosting but the Plesk Migration manager will not migrate a Plesk install that is on 11 (as MT is) to 10. So getting the Plesk panel here on Myhosting up to 11 is a deal breaker for us to keep our account unfortunately.

I did see in the Plesk Panel that under upgrades it gives me the option to upgrade to 11 (screenshot attached). Is that actually possible or is it an issue of breaking the license that MyHosting provides?
