As you may know, Apple is not making the iPad and iPhones Falsh compatible.
Last week, a video on how using flash on the Google Nexus One created a serious slow down in speed compared to other phones and the Nexus One being used without Flash went viral.
Today, rumours are that the Department of Justice officially Inquires Into Apple’s Adobe Flash Policy (Department of Justice Inquires Into Apple’s Adobe Flash Policy (http://mashable.com/2010/05/30/doj-apple-flash/))
What do you think is happening?

Thanks for sharing!
I saw that; however, there was a lot of debate over twitter as to whether that was a legit argument on Apple's side. I, personally, think it makes sense but a lot of people are flash fans... and a lot of people don't like change. If their website is full of flash, or if someone is a flash dev, they tend to be very loudly arguing against this.
As a matter of fact, I wrote an objective blog post about the iPad and included that it won't support flash. With that in mind, how can this lack of flash potentially affect website owners (like redesigning their sites, if that’s their prerogative) and got a nasty blog post in response to mine. You can read it here (http://therecoach.net/2010/01/29/new-ipad-does-not-support-adobe-flash-and-thats-not-an-issue-come-on/). though I hate supporting it by linking to it...
Now that the Google phone also had the same results shows Apple's decision was not political... and that people should consider moving away from flash (and IE6 for that matter, lol)
I have no problem with the iPhone not being Flash compatible. But I wish web designers would get with the times. Or at least design mobile versions of thier sites that are non-flash. Given that the majority of my non-work browsing is from my iPhone, I find it very irritating to not be able to get the info because it is available as Flash only...

I'm really looking forward to the day when Flash becomes deprecated, and most of the world puts it behind them.
Unfortunately, there're so many websites that use Flash that it's going to be many, many years before this happens.
