How can I increase my PC's memory (install RAM)? And thanks in advance!

RAM == memory, so increasing the amount of RAM in a computer will increase its memory.

Make sure that you buy the appropriate type of RAM for your computer. Different motherboards require different types. Also, all motherboards have a maximum amount of RAM that's supported. For example, if a motherboard supports 4GB of RAM and you stuff 6GB into it, only 4GB will be used.

If you're using a 32-bit version of Windows 7, you are limited to 4 GB of RAM. The 64-bit version can use up to 192 GB...

Wow, that's news to me.

I've heard that you should also use the same brand/model of RAM. Does it actually effect performance, or is it a myth?

Same model: yes. Same brand... where did you hear that? Could you provide a link to this?
