Do people still subscribe to magazines anymore? If so, which ones? (I think reading an actual physical magazine is a nice change of pace now and then.)
Definitely not as much as I used to, but I will always prefer a physical magazine over their online counterparts.
You get articles that aren't always posted online (at least not on the official website), and I actually like all the advertising spreads.

I've always wished there was a Javascript magazine, but I've never found one.

Join the mailing lists of JavaScript libraries that interest you.
Contribute to JavaScript libraries that interest you via feedback, testing, and/or coding.
Find other ways to communicate with people or projects in the JavaScript community.
