Is IOS4 the operating system on every iPhone? Is this an Apple company, or a company they've partnered with?

Hi Stoddards, only for the new iphone 4, and also compatible with ipod touch 2g and 3g and iphone 3Gs. You can download the iOS 4 in the apple website and install it in your Iphone 3G or 3Gs, the only thing is that, say... multitasking is only compatible with iphone 3Gs, and ipod 3G, not with the older models.

IOS4 means "iPhone OS 4". It's not a separate company, organization, or entity. It's just a new version of the operating system that the 4th generation iPhone uses.
