Hi -
Tech support has only provided vague answers that have not helped me. No one answers the phone line, and email response is running 12+ hours.
Is this normal for myhosting.com? Not very good customer support!
Anyway, I signed up for a windows virtual server account. Everything is working except for sending email. Incoming email works fine. Outgoing mail is rejected by the server. I have one domain on the server. Set up the mail as usual with a pop and smtp in Outlook Express. I'm using Verizon DSL, so port 25 is usually blocked, but I tried it anyway.
I've tried every possible combo I could find on the FAQs for the outgoing mail settings:
SMTP Server: smtp.(mydomain).com
SMTP Port: 25
(server not found error message)
SMTP Server: smtp.vps.myhosting.com
SMTP Port: 25
(no real error message)
SMTP Server: alternativesmtp.myhosting.com
SMTP Port: 587
(no real error message)
If anyone out there can help me with this I'd appreciate it!
Ed
