Are there any secrets to improving the quality of the wifi connection you get at home?

The one thing I do at home is put a piece of aluminum foil either around my antenna. Some people use a pringles chip can cut in half and put it around your antenna. If you put the entire can around it, it creates a Faraday cage which will just bounce the signal in the can, instead of projecting the signal outward.
