    Default WordPress and resources

    Is there a way to somehow keep WordPress from gobbling up too many of your precious web server resources?

    -Disable plugins which cause excess server load.
    -You can use WP Super Cache: WordPress › WP Super Cache « WordPress Plugins with php caching to cut down on CPU usage.
    -You should clean out your database too: WordPress › Better Delete Revision « WordPress Plugins
    -Consider using VPS instead of shared hosting
