what's the simplest way to handle offsite replication if you have vps? and how can you figure out how much bandwidth you'll need before you begin the replication process?

You can rsync to a VPS, A secured VPS is always the best solution for offsite backup and they seem to be cheaper than a backup service, dedicated server or SAN storage etc. Bandwidth will depend on the size of the data that will be backed up.
