Can anyone recommend a bug and issue tracker? Jira looks promising, but I don’t like that it’s written in Java. I’m looking for something (hopefully) written in PHP.
I'm using LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
Thanks,
Shane.

You might want to try Mantis, which is written in PHP. I just tried it out and was able to install it with on our LAMP platform, which means it will work with any myhosting.com hosting plan. If you have Premium or Professional hosting, you'd need to activate your Linux account first. Here's the Installation Manual.
I've used it a bit in the past and it seems like a decent product.
Hi,
If you get an answer please help me too.

Hi,
When I was surfing I came across to this online tracking system. It may help you, but it's not free. Anyway, you can check if you want to:
NetResults Tracker: Web-based Collaboration Software for Bug Tracking, Issue Tracking, Change Management, Knowledge Base, Automated Support Portal, and Help Desk

birge,
Thanks for the suggestion. Tracker looks good, but I'm trying to keep my costs under control.
Right now I'm using Windows SharePoint Services, but WSS wasn't really designed for this, so its a bit awkward.
Thanks,
Shane.

The most popular ticketing softwares are:
- Trac: Very established and common. Written in PHP. Lots of support.
- Mantis: Very established and common. Written in PHP. Lots of support.
- Redmine: New, but quite popular. Written in Ruby using Ruby on Rails. Unfortunately, our Linux shared hosting accounts don't support Ruby [yet].
All of those projects are FOSS (free and open-source software).
