  • BB, or not to BB?

I have been using Windows Mobile based phones since Windows Mobile 2003 and have become very comfortable with their in's and out's.

Recently I have been considering a move to a Blackberry, the newer models have gotten my attention.

Anybody out there have a compelling reason to switch, or not switch?

I've been using BB for over 3 years now and love it. I tried many Windows Mobile phones and BB's exchange integration kicks butt. Buttt July 11th iPhone 3G is coming out with free exchange integration. Check out this blog. http://blog.mail2web.com/2008/06/free-p ... and-notes/ The whole game may change now...

Rogers is now (in the face of terrible iPhone-related PR) offering a special promotion: 6GB of data for $30 per month, an option that can be added onto existing voice plans. The iPhone 3G will also be available starting at 8 AM on July 11 at their 112-10 Dundas Street East store location.

Effective July 11, and as a limited time promotional offer for customers who activate by August 31 on a three year contract, a data-only offering of 6GB of data for $30 per month is being made available that can be added to any in-market voice plan. For example, with 6GB of data, iPhone 3G users can visit 35,952 web pages, or send and receive 157,286 emails, or watch 6,292 minutes of YouTube videos each and every month.

New Canadian iPhone 3G customers will also have the choice to select from Rogers Wireless' existing voice and smartphone data plans and/or additional features to best suit their needs, or from Rogers Wireless' value bundled plans specifically for iPhone 3G. Existing Rogers Wireless customers can keep their current voice service plan and select a separate data plan to meet their needs or choose from other plans after checking their individual upgrade eligibility.

I personally prefer the BB over the iphone, but considering the way the world is going I think I'm going to start carrying both.

I really hated Windows Mobile the first time I tried it. The whole thing was ridiculously slow, and of course the worse browser in the world was made slower. Web pages on the iPhone actually look like web pages, unlike Windows Mobile.
If you had a choice between Mobile and BB, BB all the way.

                      Hi
I'm an iPhone user and tried to use BB as a work phone but I could'nt get used to it. However new HTC Adroid 2 phones look pretty good.

                            Blackberry is solid

I really like how you can wirelessly connect to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

I originally had a BB and loved it.

Now I'm on the iPhone... and while its great, I still have major respect for RIM's Blackberry - its a great phone
