    Hi Npilla,

Can you clarify if you're on a Windows or Linux VPS? If you wanna make use of APC on your Joomla! go under global configuration > system and change the cache handler from File to Alternative php cache(APC)

If you are still having trouble installing APC, I would suggest getting in touch with myhosting Support team. They'll be able to look into the details of your account and see if there are any issues.

Thanks for the quick reply suwunk.

It is on linux running centos. I enabled that setting but it doesn't seem to cache any php files (joomla or not) except its own apc.php.

The installation seems fine because it does successfully cache apc.php. It must be some setting somewhere preventing it from caching other things. I will contact support, hopefully it wont cost me a tonne of money :/
