Can Blogger blogs be hosted here?

This is something that has always confused me... WordPress can be hosted on private hosting through you guys (and other web hosts) but I don't seem to understand if Blogger works the same way... I'm going to assume not, and maybe that's why WP is so much more popular, but I'm just not sure...

I honestly don't think it's possible to do, or at least won't be soon.To do that I think you have to get blogger to post to your web host through FTP and they're getting rid of their FTP hosting around March 26th or so of this year.

Yeah, apparently it's too much effort for them to do FTP blogging that is hosted externally so they're getting rid of it. I don't think they're going to offer any way to host elsewhere either which is strange to me.

That seems like an oddly outdated attitude and method of doing business... I guess that's why wordpress has such a strong following that bashes blogger... Then again Google isn't really one to try and encourage people to do business outside of their own bubble...

I agree completely and it seems odd to me that Google would be so archaic unless they're planning on setting up their own hosting program in the future which could be possible with all the new ground they're tackling lately.

Remember, blogger is free, so you'll get a less expansive suite of capabilities. But yeah, it wouldn't surprise me to know that they're currently working on it.
