    Default zip and download Joomla site

    i have a linux sub site.

    i want to zip and download that, chat support, pacey, told me to copy and download using ftp everything in my DOCS directory.

    problem is, where is this directory located..

    it isn't found in the file manager?

    When you first log into the file manager you will be in the DOCS directory, just use the "Select All" feature, then click on "Zip & Download".

    Also, if your site is a Joomla site and you are trying to make a full backup, make sure you also back up your MySQL database. Go to http://yoursite.com/phpMyAdmin and log in with your MySQL username and password. Select the "yourname_com" database, and click on Export. Select all the tables you want to export, choose "Save as a File" and then "Go".

    You need both files and database to make a full backup of a Joomla! site.

    Question: if i only backup the DOCS directory and then at a later date restore this will the DB and th DOCS directory EXPLODE cuz they are out of synch?
