    Default making ads less intrusive

If you add outside ads to your website, how can you make them less intrusive? Is there a way to make sure they don't dominate the side or become a distraction to your visitors?

I find contextual ads to be the least intrusive. The more an ad gets in the way of the content the more intrusive. remember the visitor is not on your site to see ad but is there for the content.

I'm agree with Greenmatter, Here's a simple equation that spells it out:

    1. A content-rich page = Highly-targeted ads
    2. Highly-targeted ads + Interested users = Healthy clickthrough & conversion rates
    3. Healthy clickthrough & conversion rates = Success!
