How do I install Ioncube Loader on my VPS?
Hello,
I am new to VPS and I am using cPanel. I cannot figure out how to install the ioncube loader in my WHM. I selected the ioncube loader under the php tweaks but it still does not load any ioncube encrypted files that I have on my server.
Please Help!

Hi There,
If you are unable to complete the installation you may contact myhosting customer care at support@myhosting.com, or by phone at 1-866-289-5091, They will enable it for you.
Here's another solution:
If you’re running a webserver with Cpanel and need to use Zend’s IonCube Loader, you can easily install it by running this command via SSH:
/scripts/phpextensionmgr install IonCubeLoader
You can then check that it is indeed installed by entering this command via ssh:
Cheers

Thank you! I will give the SSH a try. I contacted support both by email and phone. Here is what I was told.
It is our responsibility to make sure the server is online and running, but not to maintain the items running on the server.
That has to be the worst customer support that I have ever received. Thanks again suvwunk as you have already helped me way more than anyone in support. I'll let you know if that works.
Cheers!

No luck. I used putty and signed in with putty without specifying any directory. I got a message that said.
This script must be run by the root user
Any idea what this means and how to get pass that?

when you log into your VPS using putty, are you logging in as "root"?
