    The Obama Administration is going to mediate with countries that have sought bans on devices like Blackberry. I wonder what kind of agreement they'll reach.

    Default Blackberry

    In Canada, drug dealers often use Blackberries to send text messages because they go through RIM's central server (not the Internet) and can't be intercepted by the police.

    The RCMP have repeatedly expressed frustration at not being able to eavesdrop on Blackberry devices, but the the government has never banned the phones. RIM is a Canadian company.
