    I checked the WHOIS record, it looks like still belong to Granite Canyon.

    Default Google Public DNS

    When Google made the announcement on their blog, they made it sound like their engineers developed Google Public DNS from scratch. But when I tried to go to the Granite Canyon Public DNS, I get redirected to Google... so I'm thinking that Google just bought Granite Canyon and re-branded it.
