    Unhappy MyHosting Forum

Every time I go into a forum, it is sorted by "Thread/Thread Starter", and I have to click "Last Post" to sort it by that column. However, my changes are never saved.

The reason I sort by date is so that the newest posts are moved to the top. Having it sorted alphabetically (the default) makes it difficult to see if there are any new posts.

    Hi Shane,
I'm agree with you and pointed out this "bug" to our technical team!

All fixed! Thanks for pointing this out to us, Shane.

Originally, the MyHosting Forums ran on phpBB. When we switched to vBulletin, we imported all of the forums, posts, users, etc. Having the default sort order set to "Thread title" was probably a remnant from the phpBB days, or was introduced accidentally during the import.

    Thanks again,
    Nick

Why did you switch to vBulletin?

We find vBulletin to be more secure, has a larger selection of plugins, has better support, has more active development, and better documentation.

We prefer it, but it doesn't mean that vBulletin's better than phpBB. That's a matter of opinion, and what your needs are.
