Internet Explorer keeps a detailed list of the Web sites you visit. For some odd reason, it even tosses in the names of some files you play in Media Player.
When you begin typing a Web address into the address bar, Internet Explorer even uses its own version of AutoComplete to display previously visited Web sites in a drop-down box.
To make Internet Explorer show you the list of Web sites you've visited, click its History icon (the clock with the little green wrap-around arrow). Or, hold down the Ctrl key and press the letter "h".
Unless you've specifically told Internet Explorer otherwise, a list will display every Web site you've visited in the past 20 days. (Choose View from its menu to list them either by date, alphabetically, popularity, or by the order you've visited on that particular day.)
This is a cool option but how can I delete my History list?
To delete the entire history list you can follow these:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Choose Internet Options from the Tools menu.
3. Click the "Clear History" button.
Internet Explorer immediately "forgets" the sites and pages you've visited.
To stop Internet Explorer from keeping the list altogether, continue to step four, below.
4. Set the "Days to keep pages in history" setting to "0".
Also you can delete the items one by one. Here is how you will do that:
If you'd like to keep the History enabled for convenience sake, you may delete individual sites from the History by doing this:
1. Open Internet Explorer and click its "History" button.
2. Right-click the individual site you'd like to purge and select Delete from the pop-up menu.
3. Choose Yes to confirm the deletion.
Sometimes better:lol:
What's so embarrassing in your browser history that you need to make disappear?
I recommend using two different browsers, if you are going to surf pron whilst at your parents house.

Hi,
My company has created a product that could solve this problem. Our software, ControlHistory allows you to selectively or completely delete your history. You can download it from www.controlhistory.com. It supports
IE (ver. 6+)
Firefox (ver. 3+)
Chrome (ver. 1+)
Google Desktop Search
Many programs like MS Word, Excel, Acrobat Reader, WinRAR, 7-Zip, etc. that save their history in the Registry.
You can use the software for free to view your history but to be able to delete it you need a license. The cost of a license is USD 0.99 (99 cents).
