I saw that album sales went up in 2011, the first time they've gone up since '04. What was the last album you bought? Would you ever buy an album again?

It seems strange to think album stores have gone up. So many of the old-fashioned music stores I grew up with are closed or closing, and I don't know anyone who's buying albums these days.

Yeah, OhDonna, the New England-based music and DVD store FYE is going out of business now. I don't know how much longer any traditional music store can survive.

I never bought one since downloading was invented. But really nice to see this helping out our economy.

The sad news is that it's going down hill again in 2012

Overall album sales are down in the US by 4.4% in the first 9 month of 2012 compared to the same period last year.
