    Question Signing up for Hosting Plans - Stage 2

    Hi,

    I've been looking at the hosting plans and it seems you can't sign up for them unless you buy a domain name at stage 2 of the sign up process.

    What about people that already have their own domain name. Shouln't there be a way to skip to stage three?

    Stage 2 of signup

    Hi Systeman,

    If you already own a domain name, you can transfer your registration to myhosting.com.

    Just click on Transfer Domain next to Domain Search tab and you can use your old domain without buying the new one.

    Let me know if you have any other question

    Cheers

    Hi,

    Of course one could do as you rightly suggest here: -

    But suppose I'm interested in one of myhosting 'hosting plans' and I want to retain my existing registrar (for example, I might be a domain name reseller, or affiliate) where all I need to do is change the DNS settings to point to myhosting.com nameservers.

    Appart from your VPS plans, I see no option to proceed to buy a hosting plan given the above scenario!

    Ooops, are you missing out on potential customers?

    Kindest regards

    Hi Systeman,

    You don`t have to change your current registrar if you wanted to host your website on myhosting , If you have registered your domain name through another company and it is not currently on our Domain Name Servers (DNS), you can contact your domain name registrar and request they change the Name Servers to point to our hosting service. In many cases, you can even do this on your own through your domain name registrar's Control Panel. This will allow you to maintain your domain name registration with your existing registrar, but still host your domain name on myhosting servers.

    Here are detailed steps;
