    If you show off web sites you've made to certain businesses, they might ask you to make them a site in exchange for goods or services. In particular, a lot of dentists need websites and might be willing to offer you free dental work in exchange for a nice site.

    Yes this really works. I've had $12,000 worth of dental work done in the last two years and paid it off with website design/hosting and misc. IT work.
