Have you ever created a hashtag keywork or topic on Twitter and found that hashtag really exploding? Are there any keys to successful hashtags, or is it mostly a matter of luck?

I think a lot of it's luck, but here a few things NOT to do. Don't put more than 2 or 3 tags on any 1 post; don't spam with hashtags; and don't use hashtags unrelated to a tweet, or you'll come off as dishonest.

you can also see what is trending and use that hashtag if it's relevant

I don't really think it's effective by any chance. Since there are a lot of words with the same meaning. unless if they provide the options themselves for users to select.
