    Default packet sniffing

    How long can your computer be affected by a packet sniffer without your knowing it? What are the most effective ways of getting rid of packet sniffers?

    Are you using a hub? Get rid of it for a router or switch. Basically to successfully sniff you have to be on a LAN that is connected with a hub and not a switch.
