    Unhappy Wordpress on subdirectories

I have a wordpress installation running on venture4change.com. I used the application manager to create a second install in a subdirectory. Worked just fine. However, that subdirectory was simply a sandbox to play around in (for buddypress). I deleted that folder via FTP, but when I go to install wordpress in a new directory I'm told that wordpress is already installed. The folder and files do get installed, but I can't log in -- I'm redirected to the login for venture4change.com

Looks to me like an mysql issue, but I don't have the guts to edit the database myself, and I certainly don't want to damage the files or accessibilty of venture4change.com

    Help?

    Default

There are ways to determine which database entries are for your installation. If you chose the default install options you will likely find that the tables are labeled with a prefix that matches wordpress in some way like WP. If there is a second instance it may just be adjusted numerically but still have the WP prefix. The later the number, usually, the later the installation instance. To be sure I would look at your existing files for the prefix specified in the config.
