How important are comapnies' data centers when it comes to choosing your host?

In my opinion; data centers should not be a concern of a customer, it should be in host providers concern. At the end, it's host provider's job to keep their customers satisfied, so i believe they will make a fine choice before they choose a DC. There may be a few things to investigate before you decide on a host provider like; do they have redundant power to the servers or what physical security do they have, and if they have a generator etc. But, like i said; it should be a concern of the company.
