FTP connection problems

Have you tried to edit entry point location from SSL WebSite document root (webspace/httpsdocs) to WebSite document root (webspace/httpdocs)

I have a LAMP developer account.

My new Wordpress installation cannot log into my hosting account. The settings are all correct; they are the same settings I use to log in through my ftp client. I have tried to login via both port 21 and 22, and via both ftp and sftp, but I keep getting a "connection denied" dialogue.

Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? I don't know if it's related or not, but my ftp client can also only login through sftp and not regular ftp. Is this the normal set up?

Thank you for any help you can give me. I've been trying to figure this out all day.
