    Default dedicated virtual

Is there a difference between a dedicated server and a dedicated virtual server, or do these two terms mean the same thing?

A dedicated server is a single physical server that's dedicated to one person.

A virtual server is a server that's running within virtualization software on a physical server. There are multiple virtual servers within a single physical server. These are also known as "virtual private servers", or VPSs.

I dislike the term "dedicated virtual server" because it's misleading.
