Create a folder

You can use the myhosting.com File Manager to create any folder you need anywhere in your website. It is always a good idea to keep your website organized with folders so that your root folder is not cluttered with all the files for your website. This makes it easier to navigate and know the purpose of each file you have.

1. To start creating a folder, access the myhosting.com File Manager from your Control Panel.
2. The File Manager starts in the very top of your website folder structure. If you wish to create a sub-folder of an existing folder, please navigate to that folder. You can navigate those folders simply by clicking on the folder name.
3. Once you are in the location you want to create a folder, click on the Create directory button. A pop up window will appear prompting you to name this new folder. Please enter in the name of the folder you wish to create and click on OK.
4. After a short moment, you will be returned to the File Manager window and it will refresh itself to show you the newly created folder.

There are some folders that are already made for you to help you with your website.
