Creating an Email Alias on your Plesk 9.5 VPS

How to create an email alias in Plesk.

This tutorial assumes that you have already logged in to Plesk.

Now let's learn how to create an email alias in Plesk.

  1. Click Mail Accounts icon.

  2. Select the email address for which you want to add a new alias.

  3. Click Add New Mail Alias.

  4. Enter the new email alias here.

    • Adding the email alias information@demo1234.com to the mail address info@demo1234.com means that any email sent to information@demo1234.com will automatically be forwarded to info@demo1234.com mailbox.
  5. When ready, click OK to save the changes.

  6. Scroll down.
  7. Here we can see that the new email alias has been successfully added. You can always edit it by clicking on it, or delete it altogether.

  8. Let's delete the email alias we just created. Click the check box.

  9. Then click the Remove link with the red X.

  10. Select the check box to confirm the removal.

  12. Click the Mail Accounts link near the top of the page.

  13. Here we can see that the email alias which we just created has been successfully removed.
