Managing MySQL with PHPMyAdmin in Plesk 9.5 for VPS

How to manage MySQL databases with PHP MyAdmin.

This tutorial assumes that you have already logged in to Plesk.

Now let's learn how to manage MySQL databases with PHP MyAdmin tool.

  1. Scroll down to the Applications & Services group.

  2. Click the Databases icon.

  3. Select the database you wish to manage by clicking it.

  4. To enter phpMyAdmin, click the Webadmin icon.

  5. Welcome to the PHPMyAdmin main page.

  6. Click in the Databases drop-down menu to select the necessary database.

  7. There are currently no tables in this database, as indicated on the screen.

    • We can create a new table here, but we're not going to do it now.
    • Instead, let's learn how to import and export the ready database.
  8. Click the SQL tab.

  9. Let's import an existing database. Click Browse.

  10. Select the file you wish to import, click Open, then click Go.

  11. The existing database "shop" has been successfully imported.

  12. Now let's learn how to export this database. Click the Export tab.

  13. Scroll down.
  14. Select the "Save as file" checkbox.

  18. The database file has been successfully saved. Click Close.

  20. Let's return to the main phpMyAdmin page.

  21. To exit the phpMyAdmin, simply close the browser window.
