How to change listening Remote Desktop Port - RDP Port

To change the port that Remote Desktop listens on, follow these steps.

1. Start Registry Editor (Right click and "run as administrator")
   
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TerminalServer\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\PortNumber
3. On the Edit menu, click Modify, and then click Decimal.

1. Type the new port number, and then click OK.
2. Quit Registry Editor.
3. Add a new rule in your Firewall to Accept incoming connections from the new Port depending on what it is.
4. Restart your machine
