Most users with an iPhone device are well aware of the synchronization
abilities with ActiveSync and its features.
We offer fully functional ActiveSync Exchange accounts. All that is required is to add the service
onto a user, and then configure the device with the generated password. This
can easily be done with just the Control Panel and your device.
First, log in to your Control Panel at http://support.myhosting.com and click
on the Exchange tab up top.
Once there, choose the user you want to configure your
iPhone device for by selecting the Go button to the right of their address.
Ensure that your Plan Type shows Hosted Exchange Email, as
it is required for ActiveSync.
Now, click on View ActiveSync Settings: there, you will find
the information you need to configure your device. Keep this page open as it
will be needed soon.
Configuring the device
Slide your home screen to the left in order to access your Mail
There you will find the Settings option. Touch this to find
the Account Settings.
Find this option to create your new exchange connection with
your email address with us.
You will want to choose the Outlook option as it will use ActiveSync
as the main protocol.
Now you just need to enter your email address with us, as
well as your account password.
If the phone does not auto connect then it will request
additional information. Enter your email
address as your username, and AD1 as
Then click sign in and wait for the device to become
configured. Once done, you can start
checking your emails and synching with the server.
Activations should take a few minutes; simply wait for the activation complete message from the
device and you will be fully synchronized with the exchange server. Note that you may be required to register
additional folders on the device if you want folders other than your Inbox to
synchronize with the device.
